*Note: Eco-Splorers After School was previously listed as starting March 22nd. Actual start date for 8-week block is April 5th. That means you still have time to sign up!
Montana Audubon Center’s Break Camps happen whenever there is a day off from school in Billings. Open to kids from age 4 to 13, these popular camps are a whole day to play outdoor games, throw rocks in the river, do nature crafts, and learn about the plants and animals who share our part of the Yellowstone River valley. Bring a backpack and a lunch; go home muddy, tired, and full of adventure stories! March 25th and 28th and April 11th and 22nd (with a special Earth Day theme).
It’s 38⁰ and rainy this morning, but our plans right now at the Montana Audubon Center are all about summer camp! We will have 26 different week-long camps this summer, from “Dino-Tastic” to “Nature Girls” to the ever-popular “Fishing and Fort Building.” This year we’ve also added specific camps about birds and land stewardship, highlighting the primary program areas here at the Center. One of our birding camps is a partnership with Chief Plenty Coups State Parks and will feature new curriculum material from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
This year will also be our first for….online registration! Our full summer camp flyer will be available the first week in April, with the flyer available for PDF download from the Montana Audubon Center website at the same time. You will be able to register and pay directly from the website and will receive confirmation and reminder e-mails about registration details. We’re excited about offering this customer-friendly service and hope to move all programs to this platform in the future.
