Sage Grouse Dept. Of Interior Announcement

Greater Sage-Grouse – A Day to Remember

As you probably heard, the US Fish & Wildlife Service announced on September 22 that the Greater Sage-Grouse was NOT warranted for protection under the federal Endangered Species Act. One of the main reasons that the sage-grouse was not listed is that state governments throughout its range—including Montana—have stepped up to the plate to take the lead on conservation efforts.
