Audubon Conservation Ranching Manager — Montana

Location: Helena or Remote in Montana

Salary: $48,000-$50,00 per Year DOE

Status: Full Time

About the Position: The ACR Manager works with ranchers, partners, and Audubon staff to coordinate the expansion of the Audubon Conservation Ranching (ACR) program in Montana. They are responsible for recruitment of ranches and ranch certification; development of regional certification protocol and ranch-specific Habitat Management Plans; coordination of biological monitoring and ranch certification; delivery of agreements and technical assistance for grazing system projects; collaboration with state and federal agency partners, peer organizations and NGOs; and coordinates the work of Montana Audubon staff working on the ACR project in Montana.

Teacher Naturalist (year-round)

Location: Billings, MT 59101

Salary: $14.5-$16.00/ hour

Status: Part-time Regular (Year-Round)

  • Schedule: Avg 20 hours per week, with occasional evenings and weekends.

About the Position: The Teacher Naturalist is a core member of the front-line educational team, responsible for delivering immersive, high-quality environmental education across a 54-acre site and the adjacent Yellowstone River Corridor. This role focuses on fostering deep connections between the community and the natural world, primarily serving upper elementary students while engaging audiences ranging from toddlers to adults.

Summer Camp Teacher Naturalist

Location: Billings, MT 59101

Salary: $14.00-$15.00/ hour

Status: Part-time Seasonal (June-August)

  • Schedule: Avg 25+ hours per week, with occasional evenings and weekends.

About the Position: Summer Camp Teacher Naturalists are the primary staff members for summer programming. They implement high-energy, hands-on, and experiential summer camp programs for participants typically aged 5 to 13, with a specific focus on elementary students. This role requires individuals who are enthusiastic about connecting youth with the natural world and are comfortable leading groups outdoors in all summer weather conditions.
