Something We’re Thankful For: Our Amazing Summer Camp Volunteers!

In this season of thanks, we want to acknowledge a special group of volunteers at the Center: our summer camp volunteers. Many were once campers themselves, a fact that deeply enriches their commitment. They’ve experienced firsthand the impact of the Montana Audubon Center, and now they’re paying it forward. This is the heart of our work—creating an impact so profound that a new generation of leaders is inspired to give back and help others find their own connection to the natural world.

A special thank you to Alex and Ramsey for your patience and enthusiasm in working with our littlest campers in the Tinies preschool-age group. Your nurturing spirits made our youngest campers feel safe, supported, and seen every single day.

High-fives all around from summer camp volunteer Lillie!

To Lillie, thank you for your amazing support in our Littles camps, including Tiny Scientists and other kindergarten through 2nd-grade programs. Your creativity and care helped spark curiosity and joy in every activity.

We’re so grateful to Emma for jumping in wherever needed every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. On top of being a wonderful camper in our Olders (6th–9th grade) camps, your willingness to help others and your positive attitude did not go unnoticed.

Making memories by the pond with summer camp volunteer Emma.

A huge thank you to Rowan for being an all-around superstar this summer! Whether jumping in to help wherever needed or simply brightening everyone’s day, your energy and connection with the campers made a lasting impact—and you quickly became a favorite among them!

And last but certainly not least, thank you to Knox for your hard work and dedication in our full-day Fishing and Fort Building camps with our Middles (3rd–5th grade) campers. Your enthusiasm and leadership made those outdoor adventures even more memorable.

Knox shares his love of invertebrates with campers.

To all of you—Alex, Ramsey, Lillie, Emma, Rowan, and Knox—thank you for being such an important part of our summer. You helped create memories that our campers will carry with them for a long time. We are so grateful for each and every one of you!
